With all the excitement lately about chalk drawing, I had to see what it was like. I talked to three cops and called LAPD to be very specific about what is and isn't legal, and this isn't illegal. After about 4 minutes I was approached by a security guard who started off saying "Nice artwork." Then he kindly said I had to leave but let me take a photo of the piece before I left. When I got up to walk off, he even called me a good samaritan!
